    In the states of Tamil Nadu , the Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated in the month of Margazhi (normally comes between Dec 10 and Jan 14). There it is believed that Hanuman or Anjaneya was born on Moola Nakshatra,on the new moon day (amavasya) in the month of Margazhi.

    I visited an Anjaneyar Temple in Ponsai. It is
    Bala Anjaneya Temple is located On Ponsai, Kidarankondan (po) Tharangambadi (taluk) Nagapattinam (dist) Tamil Nadu-pin - 609304 in neay by mayiladuthurai. There we can do a prarthana and tie a Mattai Thengai (Coconut) and they give a sloka of 4 lines which has to be recited for 21 times everyday. Within 15 days from that date, the prarthanai which you want to get happened is getting solved and after 15 days you should go there and remove that coconut and come. There they give a slip mentioning that coconut number. We have to take that slip and give it back to them to know the number. It is a very good temple and the things are happening if we have faith. I have seen in my family so many problems being solved by this.This hanuman temple was build by V.Desai, He was maintened in 30 years so for and also doing poja towise in a day every years celebrate hanuman jayanti in tha month of december.

    Hanuman jayanti is clebrated as a birthday of the god Hanuman allover world. Hanuman Jayanti falls on Full moon day of the chaitra month. Usually it falls in March / April months. This year, Hanuman Jayanti is on Tuesday, 1st January 2014.
